In its 27th year!

​​The Camp is Divided into Three Levels:

Beginner

Intermediate

Advanced 

*There is an additional Pre-college workshop available for high school graduates pursuing a degree in music in Fall 2020.


Beginner, Ages 8-11 (1 year or less on instrument)

  • Classes in music theory with engaging topics for younger students
  • Small woodwind ensemble
  • Small studio classes focused on fundamentals of instrumental playing
  • Individual instruction
  • Electives offered in art, dance and guitar


Intermediate, Ages 12-14 (1-3 years on instrument)

  • Classes in music theory
  • Concert band
  • Chamber music
  • Small studio classes focused on fundamentals of instrumental playing
  • Workshops on taking auditions, scales and technique and sight reading


Advanced, Ages 15-18 (3 or more years on instrument)

  • Wind ensemble
  • Chamber music and side-by-side rehearsals/performances with faculty
  • Workshops on taking auditions, performer mindset, orchestral excerpts
  • Guest artist master classes and performance opportunities
  • Intensive studio classes focused on advanced technique, musicianship and professionalism


Pre-college (high school graduates who will attend college in the fall)

  • In addition to the Advanced level program, students who wish to participate in the Pre-college program will attend an additional 3-part workshop entitled “Making the Most of Your Freshman Year as a Music Student
